Admission Process For GSPI Nashik & SPI Aurangabad

The SPI & GSPI admission process comprises six key components: Written Test, Interview, Domicile verification, Age Limit assessment, Educational Qualification evaluation, and adherence to Physical Standards. Detailed information for each component is provided below.

Written Test

The written test will be conducted annually at various centers, and the exact date and venue will be communicated on the website www.spiaurangabad.com.

Interview

Candidates who qualify in the written test will undergo interviews conducted by the interview board/selection committee, held in Pune and/or Aurangabad.

Domicile

Candidates from Maharashtra State/Bider/Belgaum/Karwar must provide a government-issued domicile certificate during the application process.

Age Limit

Unmarried female candidates born within specified dates are eligible to apply, as per the yearly advertisement.

Edu. Qualification

10th standard students from State/CBSE/ICSE with specific subjects are eligible, with a minimum of 60% marks in VII, VIII, IX.

Physical Standards

height of 152 cm, weight of 43 kg, specified eyesight requirements, and overall medical fitness, as outlined in the previous UPSC NDA notification.

It would help your son to settle down, if he practices the following simple activities before joining.

  • Stitching of buttons and minor repairing of his clothes.
  • Polishing his shoes (leather and canvas).
  • Washing his under garments, socks and handkerchief Making his bed.
  • Keeping his clothes and personal effects neatly in his cupboard. Keeping track of all his personal possessions.
  • Making a dhobi list and checking returns accurately.
  • Filling bank withdrawal form and maintaining his pocket money account Labeling his possessions for identification.

Do's

  • Do be punctual for at activities the PT, games, classes, parades, mess etc.
  • Do be smartly dressed at at times for al activities in the prescribed dress code.
  • Do keep all your personal possessions neat and tidy at all time.
  • Do be courteous to your seniors and superiors at the SPI.
  • Do maintain the highest standard of honesty and integrity.

Don'ts

  • Do not leave the SPI premises without proper permission.
  • Do not involve in smoking drinking alcohol and consuming drugs, or have any such tems in your possession.
  • Do not keep excess cash, jewelery, cell phones, any electronic or electrical appliances.
  • Do not possess any personal weapons, Le guns, firearms knife etc.
  • Do not get tattoo on your body.

About SPI Aurangabad

The Institute works under General Administration Department (Desk-28) of Mantralaya SPI is headed by a Director who is a retired Armed Forces Officer of the rank of Lt Colonel and above or equivalent ranks of Indian Navy and Indian Air Force and Governing Body (GB) is appointed by the Government to oversee functioning of SPI.

The institute has a dedicated and experienced staff most of whom are retired personnel from the Armed Forces, to look after training, discipline and welfare of the cadets all the time.

A committee is formed under the chairmanship of Lt Gen SPP Thorat, (Retd), Kirti Chakra, Padmashree, DSO, DLit. They recommended the unique Services Preparatory Institute. This was established at Aurangabad in 1977 with the aim of preparing boys physically, mentally and academically for entry into the National Defence Academy, (NDA) Khadakwasla.

The Institute provides personalized coaching for UPSC (NDA) written entrance examination.

Why SPI Aurangabad

The Institute works under the expert guidance of a Governing Body which comprises of very senior retired Defence Officers generally of the rank of Lieutenant General, Major General and equivalent ranks of Indian Navy and Air Force.
The SPI is headed by the Director who is a retired Defence Officer from the Indian Armed forces.
SPI has well experienced Staff of 24 employees.
SPI is a dedicated feeder to the National Defence Academy (NDA) and the Naval Academy (NAVAC).

SPI Achievement

So far, in the last 40 years approximately 600 SPI cadet have joined various defence academies like NDA, INA and OTA.
Our alumni have been awarded many gallantry awards for their selfless bravery. These include two Kirti Chakra, three Shaurya Chakra and Sena Medals/Nau Sena Medals/Vayu Sena Medals.
Apart from the career in the defense forces, SPI cadet have established themselves into various walks of life. These include Civil Services like IAS, IPS, IES, IRS, Medicine, Finance and Banking, Hospitality Industry, Law at High Court and Supreme Court, Journalism.
In the month of Jul 19, sixteen cadets from SPI have joined NDA and one cadet has joined INA. Out of this cdt. Om Gupta (AIR 3), cdt. Atharva Surve (AIR 6, SSB Topper), cdt. Prathamesh Ingle (AIR 19) have achieved stellar success.
